HARD-CORE FABRICATION

United Scenic isn’t some lightweight staging shop with a bunch of wannabe carpenters. We have a deep bench of artisans who can handle permanent installs as well as temporary scenic projects regardless of their size or complexity. The capabilities we offer include a metal shop featuring a wide array of intense tools that are used for shaping metal signage and other heavy components. United Scenic has MIG welders, a plasma cutter, punch press, brake, digital tubing bender and of course the water jet cutter table that is capable of cutting up to 8” thick solid steel plate.

FUN FACTS ABOUT WATER JET CUTTERS

Our water jet cutter uses a highly condensed stream of water with a special abrasive agent that allows us to cut thru just about any heavy material. This amazing device operates at 15,000–90,000 PSI with a stream that travels at Mach 2.5 which is roughly 1900 miles per hour. That’s faster than most fighter jets!-site.
